Dr Nitin Raniga, a registered orthodontic specialist and member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO), has almost two decades of orthodontic experience. He has achieved Platinum Invisalign provider status in recognition of his skill and experience with Invisalign aligners. The team also offer patients treatment using traditional metal braces, clear ceramic braces, and hidden lingual braces.
Treatment costs at Auckland Orthodontics are competitively priced and include a bespoke treatment plan tailored to each patient’s orthodontic needs, as well as full treatment, retainers and follow-up appointments. I am very fortunate to have found a profession as rewarding as the field of orthodontics! I have and am enjoying creating custom, beautiful smiles for our patients all over Auckland. Orthodontics can change a person’s life by boosting confidence and self-esteem. I see evidence of this everyday and it is a truly fulfilling experience for our whole team. A great smile is one of the first things people notice, and when we see patients who can’t stop smiling, it lets us know we’ve accomplished our goal.
I am a registered Orthodontic specialist and a full member of New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO). After completing my Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago and graduating with credit in 2000, I worked as a general dentist from 2001 to 2006. I returned to Otago in 2007 to undertake the specialist Doctorate program in Orthodontics. My main research involved analysing bite irregularities and tongue pressure generation during swallowing.
To attain international recognition of highest standards, I completed the prestigious orthodontic membership examinations from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. I am also a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and Auckland Dental Association.
Originally from Fiji, I relocated to Auckland in 1994. I now live here with my beautiful wife and two sons. In my spare time, I like to play sports like soccer and tennis.
